Série ACT to Crown Champion at Fall Foliage 200

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) U.S. and Série ACT return to Plattsburgh, NY’s Airborne Park Speedway for the 41st Annual Fall Foliage 200 Saturday, October 3. Série ACT will crown its 2015 champion at the combination event as the ACT U.S. Tour sets the stage for their own season finale later in October.

The Série ACT championship is now a two-man duel between St-Edouard, QC’s Dany Trépanier and 2013 Champion Jean-François Dery of Quebec, QC. Trépanier enters the event with a 30-point advantage over Déry on the strength of one win and eight top-5 finishes. Both drivers have finished in the top-10 in all but one of the 11 events.

Behind the lead duo sits a three-man battle for third in the standings. Levis, QC’s Patrick Cliche is two points ahead of fourth-place Jonathan Bouvrette and 22 up on fifth-place Martin Goulet Jr. Bouvrette and Goulet sit first and second in the Bond Auto New Champions standings.

2013 Fall Foliage 200 winner Alex Labbé is sixth in the driver’s standings after missing two races but has put his Larue Motorsports team in position to claim the owner’s championship. The team has a 44-point lead over Trépanier heading into the season finale. Déry leads the Série ACT Airborne Triple Crown standings, which also concludes on October 3.

The Fall Foliage 200 is also the penultimate event of 2015 for the ACT U.S. Tour. Two-time ACT Champion Wayne Helliwell Jr. of Dover, NH picked up his fourth win of the season at Autodrome Chaudiere on September 12 and now has a 13-point lead over 2014 Champion Joey Polewarczyk Jr. of Hudson, NH.

Mainers Brad Babb and Jeff White sit third and fourth in the standings followed by Vermonter Emily Packard and New York’s Brandon Atkins. All will seek every spot they can get to position themselves for the ACT U.S. season finale at Thompson Speedway on Saturday, October 17.

The Thunder Road Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen and Airborne Key R-D Trailer Sales Renegades have been added to the program for the “American Racer Team Challenge”. The two divisions will run twin 25-lap segments with more than $7,500 in posted awards. The main purse will be paid based on the overall individual finish and a “Team Challenge” bonus will be evenly split among drivers in the division with the best combined finishes.
