Martinsville Postpones Late Model Event
ValleyStar Credit Union 300 Moved To Oct. 11
MARTINSVILLE, Va. – With the Governor of Virginia declaring a state of emergency for Virginia due to the heavy rain projected for the weekend, the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway has been postponed until Sunday, Oct. 11.
The race weekend will follow the same schedule, just one week later:
Friday, Oct. 9
12:00 p.m.: Registration and haulers enter; selection and mounting of practice tires only.
Saturday, Oct. 10
6:00 a.m.: Garage and registration opens
6:15 a.m.: Mandatory crew chief and/or team representative meeting
6:30 a.m.: Inspection begins
12:00 p.m.: Fan gates open
1:00 p.m.: Practice begins (time approximate)
4:00 p.m.: Group Qualifying
Sunday, Oct. 11
8:00 a.m.: Garage opens
9:00 a.m.: Fan gates open
9:00 a.m.: Mandatory driver/crew chief/spotter meeting
10:00 a.m.: Drivers autograph session on front stretch
11:00 a.m.: Cars on line
12:00 p.m.: Heat races begin
