Holiday Hustle 100 this Weekend at CSP
PEORIA, Ariz. (December 2, 2015) – The curtains will come down on the 2015 season at Canyon Speedway Park in a big way with this weekend’s Askrens Trucking “Holiday Hustle 100” atop the 1/3-mile clay oval on Saturday and Sunday.
The event honoring the memory of Desiree Marie Goodwin will culminate with a $5,000-to-win 100-lapper pitting the Pure Stocks vs. IMCA Stock Cars. Racing action will get under way at 1:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to the $5,000-to-win Holiday Hustle 100 for the Pure Stocks and IMCA Stock Cars, a $1,000 winner’s share will be up for grabs in the 50-lap Renegade vs. IMCA Hobby Stock main event with a $500 payday on the line in Autocross action.
The stage will be set for Sunday’s Holiday Hustle 100 finale with the Pure Stocks and IMCA Stock Cars time trials and Shootout races on Saturday with the Renegades and IMCA Hobby Stocks setting the stage in the same fashion.
The always popular Autocross, utilizing half of the Canyon Speedway Park clay oval along with the interior Figure Eight configuration, will round out the blockbuster weekend event with 20-lap features on both Saturday and Sunday.
Ricky Thornton, Jr., has reigned victorious in the most recent pair of Labor Day weekend Stock Car Shootout 100 events after newly-crowned CSP Stock Car champion Matt Martinez won the inaugural version in 2012.
Tickets for this weekend’s Askrens Trucking “Holiday Hustle 100” are just $16 on both Saturday and Sunday, with a $3 discount for Military, Seniors and Students. Children ages 7-12 are $6, with children 6 and under admitted free. VIP passes are available for $20. A $2 discount will be given for each ticket sold with a donation of a new toy to the Toys-for-Tots Children’s Charity.
