2016 Angell Park Speedway Schedule Released
Millstadt, IL – 11 events have been scheduled for the 2016 season at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
Angell Park’s 2016 season will kick off on Sunday, May 22nd featuring IRA Sprint Cars, Badger Midgets, and Badger Micros.
The following weekend will be the Thiel Memorial on Sunday, May 29th with the historic 1/3rd mile hosting Badger Midgets, Micros and new for 2016, the WIMS Mini Sprint Series. This will be the WIMS Mini Sprint Series solo appearance at Angell Park Speedway.
As has been the case in for the past few years, fans and spectators alike will be treated to an assortment of racing throughout the 2016 season. The Badger Midget Auto Racing Association, Badger 600 Micro Series, POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series, IRA Sprint Cars, WIMS Mini Sprints, and Wisconsin wingLESS Sprints are scheduled to race throughout the 2016 season.
Quickly becoming a fan favorite, the Bumper-to-Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series will return for a total of six shows in 2016, with the August 28th show sharing the stage with the Neal Tire and Auto Service MOWA Sprint Cars presented by Casey’s General Store in conjunction with the IRA Sprint Cars. Parker Price-Miller, Scotty Neitzel, and Bill Balog took victories in 2015 when the wings invaded Angell Park Speedway.
Also making an appearance in 2016, the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series will come to town on July 3rd for the 35th Annual Pepsi Nationals. The Badger Midgets, Micros and the Wisconsin Dirt Legends will also join for the Pepsi Nationals.
New in 2016, the Wisconsin wingLESS Sprints will come to Angell Park Speedway for a total of three outings. Joining the field on Sunday, July 31st, August 14th, and the season closer on September 4th, the wingLESS Sprints will give fans their fair share of traditional sprint car racing.
