Kass Cornella Named Competition Director For ASCS Frontier In 2016

TULSA, Okla. (February 12, 2016) The 2016 lineup for the ASCS Frontier Region is taking shape, and will be under the direction of Wyoming’s Kass Cornella, who was a regular name in the former ASCS Rocky Mountain Region, and is an active engine builder for teams across the Northwest.

“I’m honored to be taking over and helping out. This is an origination that I feel pretty strongly about,” commented Cornella on his taking charge of the ASCS Frontier Region, which has operated in Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming since 2013. “We’ve got some great people in this and I need to thank Barry Martinez at SpeedMart for committing contingencies to the series as well as Forrest Lucas for his support of ASCS.”
According to Cornella, the ASCS Frontier Region will payout $1,500 to the winner, and $300 to start the A-Feature with all non-transfers getting $100. The schedule is nearly finalized and will be released in the coming weeks.
While there has been a lot of rumor and speculation over the past few month, ASCS founder, Emmett Hahn, recently made a trip to Montana to meet with owners and drivers.
“I went up to Montana a few weeks ago and met with the bulk of the owners and drivers up there, and they all voted to keep with ASCS and to support this Frontier Region,” said Emmett. “They’ve got a good car count up here, and we just need to make sure they have good racing too and I think Kass and everyone up here will be just fine.”
Along with thanking Kass for stepping in to run the ASCS Frontier Region, a special thanks is also due to Jeremy McCune, who has help to round up new tracks to support the region.
Kass Cornella can be reached at (307) 351-1412 or by email atkass_cornella@yahoo.com.
