Dillon Bassett, No. 44 Toyota Camry, Dominion Raceway Preview
No. 44 Toyota Camry… Crew Chief Nathan Kennedy and the No. 44 team will unload chassis 058 for Monday’s ComServe Wireless Memorial Day Classic at Dominion Raceway. This car last raced at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2014 with Brandon Gdovic behind the wheel.
Unlikely Partnership… Precision Performance Motorsports (PPM) partners with Bassett Racing for this weekend’s NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) race. In a combined effort to support Dillon Bassett in his successful 2016 season, PPM will provide the chassis, parts and equipment needed for Bassett. Bassett’s crew will field the No. 44 entry and have spent the week leading up to the race preparing the car at PPM’s race shop. “The NASCAR garage is a special place in times of tragedy,” said Charles Denike, PPM General Manager. “PPM was able to provide a car for Dillon and the equipment he needed to help make the race happen. First Timer… The ComServe Wireless Memorial Day Classic weekend will be Bassett’s first time racing at Dominion Raceway, but the North Carolina native is no stranger to success at short tracks. In only 14 NKNPSE races, Bassett has posted one win, four top-five, and six top-10 finishes. His break-through win came at Motordrome Speedway in 2015.
