Rattler 250 to Be Broadcast on Speed51.com for Second Straight Year

One of the nation’s most unique Super Late Model races will be making its way to a worldwide audience for the second straight year.  In a partnership between South Alabama Speedway and Speed51.com, the 41st annual Rattler 250 will be broadcast live on Speed51 TV on March 18 – 19, 2017.
For the third year, the race will serve as the season-opening event for the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco.
“The entire staff at South Alabama Speedway is really looking forward to bringing this exciting event to a national audience for the second straight year,” said John Dykes, promoter of South Alabama Speedway.  “Last year’s broadcast was a success and we’re hoping some of those people that watched will join us at the track this year.”

The live broadcast on Speed51.com will feature two days of racing from the 4/10-mile oval in Opp, Alabama.  Super Late Model qualifying for the Rattler 250, as well as the 125-lap Baby Rattler for Pro Late Models, will air live on Saturday, March 18.  The big show, the Rattler 250 featuring the Southern Super Series Super Late Models, will take place on Sunday, March 19.
There will be a blackout region of 150 miles surrounding the region.
The current entry list for the Rattler 250 features some of the most talented and well-known drivers in Super Late Model racing.  Second-generation driver Harrison Burton, Snowball Derby winner Christian Eckes, former Southern Super Series champion Bubba Pollard and Alabama’s own Augie Grill are just a few of the drivers already entered.
All of the drivers will be battling for the chance to meet the infamous rattlesnake in victory lane.
“The Rattler 250 has become a can’t-miss Super Late Model race,” said Mark Keeler, Speed51.com Operations Manager.  “All of us at Speed51.com thoroughly enjoyed bringing the event to a worldwide audience last year.  We look forward to once again providing a live video stream for those unable to make it to Opp, Alabama.”
Race fans can purchase Sunday’s Speed51 TV pay-per-view broadcast of the Rattler 250 for $24.99.  Saturday’s racing action featuring the Baby Rattler 125 can be seen for $19.99 and will include live coverage of Super Late Model qualifying.
Fans can also purchase a two-day video ticket for $39.99 and enjoy a savings of $5.
Speed51 Network yearly members receive a 10% discount off of multi-day or single-day tickets.
Speed51.com’s pay-per-view broadcast will be a one-camera video shoot featuring audio from the track’s public address system.
