Cris Michaud, who did all the testing on the ACT Ford crate motor said, “ This is great news for our Ford team and any other teams that jump on the Ford Racing program. We have already started selling off our GM components and are anxious to get Ford Racing their first win either at Thunder Road or at anAmerican Canadian Tour event. I need to get into the ACT Invitational this September at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS)–now that would be pretty special to win the inaugural event in a Ford.”

Michaud and his Ford team will have their first chance to pick up an invitation to the NHMS September 19th special 50 mile race at the CARQUEST Governor’s Cup 150 on Thursday, June 25th at Thunder Road. He will have to beat NASCAR CUP point leader Tony Stewart and 30 of the best Late Model drivers in the Northeast to grab the win, but Michaud is a three-time Thunder Road “King of the Road’, so the odds are in his favor.

Advance discount tickets are now on sale at the ACT office in Waterbury at 802-244-6963, or can be purchased at the opening Thunder Road Thursday events beginning Thursday, June 11 and  Thursday, June 18.
