Seekonk Announces Changes to Phil’s Propane Triple Crown and Power 5 Schedules

SEEKONK, Mass. – Unfortunately, the first three weeks of the NASCAR Saturday night season haven’t seen any drivers carry the checkered flag. Instead, Mother Nature has won all three events, and therefore, Seekonk Speedway has been forced to make a few schedule changes for the rest of the 2018 season.

Coming up on Saturday, June 2, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will invade the Action Track of the East for the Seekonk 150, and the main event will also be joined by the first Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series events for three Seekonk NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions. The Late Models (50), the Sportsman (35) and the Sports Trucks (35) will all kick-off their Phil’s Series in style with their opening feature of the season becoming extra distance.

On Saturday, June 9, the Pro Stocks will take center stage with their first race of the season, a 65-lap feature as part of the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series. On that night, the Late Models (35), the Sportsman (30) and the Sports Trucks (30) will all compete in their first Power 5 race of the season. South Coast Power proudly sponsors the Power 5 races for the Sportsman class.
