Rain Forces Cancellation of Twin State Speedway Event
For the second time in as many weeks, the Pro Four Modifieds of New England (PFMNE) were rained out. A forecast for severe thunderstorms and torrential rain in the Claremont area forced the cancellation of the race program set to go off on June 26. PFMNE officials have announced that the event will not be made up. The next stop at Twin State Speedway will be on October 4 as part of the season-ending, Open Wheel Sunday race program.
Next on the docket for the Pro Fours will be the hotly-contested CarQuest Extreme Tuesday 25-lap main at the Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, CT. The four-cylinder modifieds will be sharing the billing with the International Super Modified Association (ISMA) and the Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA) on Tuesday evening, July 7.
