Bullring Bash Unveils Full Posted Awards for WMMP Opener
Attleboro, Massachusetts (April 17, 2019) — The Bullring Bash Quarter Mile Challenge, presented by RaceChoice.com has revealed the full posted awards for the Battle at the Banks at N. Woodstock, NH’s White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) on Sunday, June 16. Nearly $38,000 in combined purse and contingency awards have been posted for the Bullring Bash Modifieds and the Midstate Site Development (MSD) Legends at the Bullring Bash’s debut.
The Battle at the Banks 125 for the Bullring Bash Modifieds will pay $4,500 in base purse to win with a guaranteed $1,000 to start. A total of 24 starting positions have been posted for the three-segment event with the purse paid out based on a team’s overall result.
More than $3,000 in contingency awards are also up for grabs. The Race Choice #1 in Qualifying Bonus pays $100 to the car owner whose car wins each qualifying race. The more teams that show up, the more chances they will have to start cashing in before the main event even starts.
Hoosier Tires and Hoosier Northeast have posted a trio of WMMP awards. The Hoosier Hard Luck Award of two free tires (approx. value $165 each) goes to the car owner whose team encountered the biggest challenges or obstacles during the event as determined by Bullring Bash officials.
A team that finishes between 10th and 20th overall will also receive two free Hoosier tires. The winning position for the Hoosier Two-Tire Award will be randomly chosen at the pre-event driver/crew chief meeting. Last but not least, the Hoosier Long Haul Award presents $350 to the team owner who travels the longest distance for the event.
New England Racing Fuel and Sunoco Race Fuels are awarding $1,000 in cash at WMMP through their Bullring Bash Modified contingency program. The Sunoco “Fueling Victories” Award pays $500 to the overall winner and $250 to the winner of each of the first two segments. This means the overall winner will receive at least $5,000 total.
Three other awards are on the line at WMMP. The Waddell Communications Wheelman of the Race Award will reward the driver who improves the most positions in each individual segment with a carbon fiber headset case (approx. value $70 each). The car owner whose car improves the most positions in the overall result from their Segment 1 start will receive $200 from the Draco “Spring Forward” Bonus. Last but not least, the LFR Chassis Bonus pays an extra $200 to the highest finishing car owner that is using an LFR Chassis.
“I think a lot of promoters are starting to see that the guy who finishes 12th didn’t have the day he wanted, but still put as much effort in as anyone else, and they’re starting to reward that throughout the field,” Swanzey, NH’s Russ Hersey said. “It’s a good way to get the contingencies and the sponsors some publicity, get their name out there, and help everybody throughout the field. That makes it a lot more exciting as a competitor. You finish fifth, and hey, you get a free wheel, or you get some fuel at the next event. It makes it a lot more appealing.”
The Battle at the Banks 35 presented by LJM Contracting also has a hefty set of awards for the MSD Legends. The winner will receive a guaranteed $1,500 with a minimum of $65 to start. Twenty-six starting positions have been posted, meaning just over $4,000 in base purse.
The Race Choice #1 in Qualifying Bonus, Sunoco “Fueling Victories” Bonus, and Waddell Communications Wheelman of the Race Award have also been posted for the MSD Legends. The car owner of each qualifying race winner will receive a $100 bonus from RaceChoice.com while the feature winner collects five gallons of Sunoco 93 race fuel from New England Racing Fuel. The driver who improves the most starting positions during the 35-lap event will be awarded a carbon fiber headset case from Waddell Communications.
In addition to the posted awards and contingencies, strong performances at WMMP could set teams up for greater awards later in the season. The Battle at the Banks 125 is an automatic qualifier for both the Seekonk Open Wheel Wednesday 100 and the Race of Champions 250, each of which has a five-figure winner’s purse. The Battle at the Banks 35 presented by LJM Contracting is an INEX-sanctioned event, meaning MSD Legends drivers can earn points toward their national and state championships.
