Rain Prevails at Attica Raceway Park
ATTICA, Ohio – Heavy rains Thursday night and throughout Friday morning prompted Attica Raceway Park officials to cancel the Core & Main Spring Nationals for Friday, April 26. It was the second attempt in as many weeks to try and get the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions event completed. It will not be made up.
“There was just too much rain and not enough drying time to get the races in,” explained Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at ARP.
Attica Raceway Park will be back in action Friday, May 3 on The Adkins Group/AmeriGas/Craig Miller Trucking Night. It will be the third event of the 2019 season featuring the All Pro Aluminum Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Sprint Championship (AFCS) Presented by the Baumann Auto Group. Thanks to Spanky’s Pizza of Carey, Ohio, the winner of the Callie’s Performance Products 410 sprint feature will take home $4,000. It is also the first of three vents at Attica for the Attica/Oakshade Raceway Late Model Series Challenge for the Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Models. The Fremont Fence 305 Sprints will also be in action. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing underway at 7:45 p.m.
