Sportsman Teams: Qualifying Procedures Updated for Sportsman Events

Bulletin: 2019 Weedsport Sportsman Division Qualifying Procedure Update
Starting 5/27/19, Sportsman Division qualifying for all races (except 7/2/19 Sportsman Classic, and 10/9/19 SDW) will be as follows:
Competitors will pill draw to line up heat groups
Competitors will run timed Hot laps in group format
Fast time overall will pull a pill to determine Heat lineup invert. (Example: If there are 4 Heats with 5 qualifying per Heat, then a number between 1 and 5 will be drawn. If the driver picks the number 4, the top 4 drivers in time will invert based on time in group.)The potential number of invert spots will always equal the amount of cars set to qualify per heat group.
The remainder of the field will be lined up in order they timed
Feature events will be a 26 Car field – Plus up to (4) Provisionals** (**Provisionals will be granted to first 4 non-qualified competitors, in order of points, after the 26 car field is set. Note***Provisional Starters will forfeit starting pay amount)
The A-Main lineup will be determined by a re-draw. The numbers of cars to be entered in the re-draw will be announced at the driver’s meeting.
