Bacon Takes on Outlaw at Music City Nationals this Weekend

WINCHESTER, Ind. (May 30, 2019) – Brady Bacon is ready to take on the Outlaws this weekend.

After originally scheduled USAC Sprint Car events in Nebraska and Kansas fell early due to flooding at Lakeside Speedway, Bacon has opted to break out the BBR No. 99 Sprint Car for this weekend’s World of Outlaws debut at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway for the Music City Nationals.

It will mark Bacon’s first full World of Outlaws event since the rain-shortened Jacksonville Speedway several weeks ago and first winged 410-ci Sprint Car event since a fourth-place FAST series run at Waynesfield on April 7.

Bacon comes into the weekend off a pair of strong USAC runs last week in Sprint Car and Silver Crown competition in Indiana.

Last Wednesday night, Bacon timed in fourth in USAC Sprint Car action at Terre Haute Speedway and then earned the third starting position for the feature after a fourth-place heat race finish.

Working with a tight car throughout, Bacon finished out the night sixth aboard the Hoffman Racing / Mean Green No. 69 Sprint Car.

Taking in the final Hoosier Hundred at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Thursday night, Bacon clocked in eighth-quickest aboard the Klatt Enterprises No. 6.  After slight contact avoiding Chris Windom’s wild early-race ride, Bacon restarted at the tail of the field and worked his way all the way back up to fifth by race’s end.

After a pair of Micro racing nights at Circus City Speedway, Bacon’s weekend was cut short by a Sunday night rainout at Eldora.
