Central Arizona Speedway Back in Action Saturday Night
CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (February 19, 2020) – The 3/8-mile Central Arizona Speedway clay oval is back in action this Saturday night with a $1,000-to-win IMCA Modified tilt headlining the night’s card that gets underway at 7:00 p.m.
While the IMCA Modifieds battle it out for $1,000, the Pure Stocks, Bombers and Power 600 Micro Sprints are in action as well.
It will put the wraps on an active opening month of competition at CAS that has featured Stevie Sussex winning the ASCS Desert Series Non-Wing Sprint Car season opener on February 1 and then Chaz Baca, Jr., and Casey Arneson both picking off IMCA Modified feature wins during Arizona Dirt Track Tour action on February 9 and 11.
Kelsie Foley is the reigning IMCA Modified champion at CAS, taking top honors ahead of Tyler Mecl and Jacob Pace while Donald Comstock topped last year’s Pure Stock points and Zack Tate was best in the Bombers.
The Pure Stocks, Bombers and Power 600 Micro Sprints took part in the February 1 season opener with Bud Marshall outlasting defending champ Comstock to take Pure Stock honors, Kevin Souligne taking the Bomber trophy and Josh Castro and Tuesday Calderwood victorious in Power 600 Micro Sprint action.
Pit gates open at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday with the grandstand gates open at 5:00 p.m. General admission for adults is just $18 with children 11 and under admitted free. Seniors and Military personnel are admitted for just $15. Pit passes are $35 for adults and $20 for children 7-11 years of age.
