All-Star Classic is Rescheduled for October
Oswego, NY – Coming up next on the ISMA slate is the Bud Light Super Nationals 50 at Oswego as part of the 53rd annual Budweiser Classic weekend. A rainstorm shut out the Sat., August 29th festivities at the Oswego Speedway, which included at Super Cruise and a party in the Pits. These activities have now been moved to Thursday, Sept. 3 with the Oswego Kartway Dirt Oval Classic going on out back at the same time.
Please note, while speaking of schedules. The All-Star Classic 100 has been moved from Sept. 19 to Saturday, October 10. According to the September ISMA newsletter, “The previously scheduled All-Star Classic date of September 19, 2009 has been cancelled. Provided all goes well, the race has been rescheduled for October 10, 2009 with a rain date of Sunday, October 11. The Best Western – Seabrook has been booked as the ISMA hotel. Rooms are available at $86.40 a night for the 9th and 10th. Please call 603-474-3078 and ask for the ISMA group when making reservations.
According to Oswego, “The 53rd annual Budweiser Classic Week officially gets underway on Thursday September 3rd with the “Joe Marotta Super Cruise” and WSEN “Party in the Pits”. The event will feature a total of eight Syracuse Nationals Trophies being given out to winning entrants. It is expected that between 300 and 500 classic cars, trucks and cycles will be on hand.
“This event gives trackside campers one more event to take in during the days leading up to racing action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Classic Week. Fans attending the Super Cruise will have a chance to purchase the brand new 2009 Budweiser International Classic T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring the cars of 2008 Classic Week winners Chris Perley, Doug Didero, Dave Cliff, Jr. and Matt Hirschman. The 2009 Classic Yearbook is also scheduled to go on sale at the “Party in the Pits”.
“There is no entry fee for classic car, truck and cycle enthusiasts to enter their vehicles. There is also no fee to attend the event for spectators.
“Vehicle parking will begin at 5:00. Millennium Music will be on hand playing all of your favorite music from today and the classic cruise era starting at 5:30. Contest judging by Roy Sova and Joe Marotta will begin at 6:00. The Syracuse Nationals Trophies will be awarded starting at 7:30.”

Good Luck to all the ISMA competitors taking part in the Super Nationals and those who convert to non-wing and make a try at the prestigious Budweiser International Classic 200 on Sunday. Don’t forget, it’s wings on Friday, non-wings and nothing else, on Sunday.
