Sanborn Hopes that Atlantic CAT 250 Can Be His First Career PASS North Victory

passnorth.jpgNaples, ME — A pair of close runner-up finishes, a third, a solid fourth-place run and a race where he might have had the fastest car, but got sidelined by some trouble. That is the kind of record that you might expect a veteran racer to have in their last five touring events.

But that is actually what Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model rookie Trevor Sanborn has accomplished in his last five starts on the Tour. However, one thing is absent from that list and Sanborn is well aware of that. Despite being one of the contenders for victory week-in and week-out, the pieces have not come together for Sanborn to take his #29 Cushman Competition Ford to victory lane yet, but he is hoping for that to change on August 11th in the Atlantic CAT 250 at Scotia Speedworld near Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Rowes Race Each Other & Regan Smith To Decide Antigonish PASS North Winner

Those lessons come in handy when it comes to surviving a tough race. They especially came in handy when Mike Rowe won Sunday’s IWK 250 PASS North race at Riverside Speedway in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. They also worked out pretty well for Ben, who finished in the runner-up spot.

Rowe Family Survives to Place First and Second in Antigonish PASS North Race

Naples, ME — As the contenders around them fell to various problems, Mike Rowe and his son Ben rose to the top on Sunday afternoon in the IWK 250 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North event at Riverside Speedway in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. The race was delayed from Saturday night until Sunday afternoon due to rain.

Mike Rowe won the race over Ben Rowe, but it didn’t come easily. Both Maine racers had flat tires during the event. They did fare better though than many of their competitors. Johnny Clark and Shawn Turple battled with Mike Rowe for the lead, but both were involved in wrecks. Former NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver Ricky Craven also wrecked. Heat race winner Bill Penfold suffered from a mechanical problem with his #0 machine.
