PASS Adds Thompson Date

Thompson, CT — Pro All Stars Racing President Tom Mayberry and Thompson International Speedway owner Donald Hoenig are pleased to announce that the Pro All Stars Series will sanction a special extra distance Pro Stock race at the Nutmeg oval on October 6, 2002. The event will bring together all of the top Pro Stock competitors from northern and southern New England as well as the Canadian Maritimes.

Said Mayberry, “We’re very excited that Mr. Hoenig has chosen the PASS to sanction this very special event. Thompson Speedway is certainly the super speedway of short track racing, and I know that our PASS teams are very excited about the prospect of competing there. Fans will see the top guns from the north and the south competing for bragging rights and a great pay day. The points races throughout New England and Canada will be wrapped up, including the 2002 Pro All Stars Championship. Everyone will be racing for the win in this one; it’s a race we’ve wanted to sanction since we formed the PASS. I wouldn’t be surprised to see 100 cars on hand for qualifying. We’re currently working out the race distance and purse structure, but we wanted to let race fans and race teams know about this event as soon as possible so they could add it to their racing calendars!”

Qualifying for the Pro All Stars as well as the support divisions will take place on Saturday October 5th, with all features going green on Sunday October 6th. The PASS series will add a 50 lap “B” main with transfer spots to their feature, and a “C” Main if necessary.
