George Whitney Notches Legends Feature On Wild N’ Wacky Wednesday
Waterford, CT — George Whitney outdistanced Chris Bakaj to win his first Legends main event of the season.
Other Wild N’ Wacky feature winners were Mark Cooper (Super X Cars), Dean Christensen (X Modified), and, Brad Voglesong & Jeff Mehlenbacher (X Cars). Kathryn Civardi teamed with Greg Moran Jr to win the Women On Wheels event.
Whitney came from deep in the field in scoring the Legends 20-lap feature, holding off brothers Chris & Mark Bakaj for the win. “We’ve finally got the car just were we want it now”, said Whitney from victory lane. “A lot of it is a matter of patience also, and I tried to have some tonight. I knew Chris was very close, so I didn’t want to make any bad moves. It all worked out in our favor tonight.”
