Motorcycle & Automotive Swap Meets Kick Off 2008 Schedule at Stafford
Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Motor Speedway will open its doors for business in 2008 with its traditional Spring Motorcycle and Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meets. The Spring Motorcycle Swap Meet is the first event on the 2008 SMS Calendar of events, and is scheduled for Sunday, April 6th. The 22nd Annual Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meet will be the following Sunday, April 13.
The Motorcycle Swap Meet features an abundance of everything motorcycles, from parts and pieces to leather jackets and other accessories. The Motorcycle meet will also have an antique/custom bike show. The Motorcycle meet is rain or shine, and the gates open at 7:00am on Sunday, April 6, and the meet ends at 4pm. Admission is just $7. Vendor spaces are priced at $25. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome at the swap meet.
The 22nd Annual Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meet features an abundance of everything automotive, from complete cars all the way down to suspension and engine parts. There will also be a car corral for FOR SALE ONLY vehicles. Admission for the Ty-Rods meet is $10. The gates for the Ty-Rods meet will open at 7:00am, and the meet is rain or shine. Vendor spaces for the Ty-Rods meet measure approximately 10′ by 20′, and cube vans need at least two spaces. Vendor spaces are priced at $45 per space. The car corral is a limited area and fills up on a first come, first serve basis. The price to display a car in the corral is $25 per vehicle.

The Tech-Net Spring Sizzler is scheduled for April 25-27, and will consist of the 200-lap Tech-Net Spring Sizzler for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, a 40-lap SK Modified® feature, a 30-lap Late Model feature, 20-lap feature events for both the SK Light Modified and Limited Late Model divisions, and a 15-lap DARE Stock feature.
Tickets for 37th Annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST are on sale now and can be obtained by calling the speedway office at 860-684-2783 or by stopping by the office in person. Tickets for “The Greatest Race In the History of Spring” are priced at $35.00 for Adult General Admission, $38.00 for Reserved Seating, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and under are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult. Parking is available on the speedway grounds FREE of charge, with overnight parking for campers and RVs available.
