Seekonk Speedway announces $4,000 to win Propane Plus 75 for ARC Pro Stocks

Seekonk, MA — Seekonk Speedway has announced that Propane Plus has upped the ante on the Propane Plus 75 for the ARC Pro Stocks. With an extra $2,500 up for the winners share, there won’t be any holding back. Last season, Tom Scully Jr picked up the win on Propane Plus night, and the bragging rights that go along with it. With 2 wins already on the season, the Saunderstown, RI native is one of the favorites to pick up the extra cash. But he will have his hands full as current points leader Fred Astle Jr has already picked up one 75 lap win, and has been on a tear lately, picking up his second checkered flag just this past Saturday.

“We wanted to do something memorable for this event.” stated Propane Plus President Tim Johnson. “I’ve been coming to Seekonk Speedway for a long time, even raced hear for several years with my brother Andy in the Street Stocks and Late Models. The racing has been great this season, and we wanted to ensure this event would be a highlight for the season.”

Reigning champion Dave Darling has been chomping at the bit to get back to Victory Lane. Winless thus far, he has continued to knock on the door. He sits second in points, and has been getting closer to a win. Extra distance events have become one of his specialties over the past few seasons, picking up two 75 lap wins as part of his total of seven en route to his second consecutive ARC Pro Stock title. Tom Scully Sr sat in victory lane just a couple of weeks ago, and cannot be counted out. Two rookies have been having good seasons, with Ryan Vanasse just missing the win last week, and Jake Vanada running consistently in the top ten each week. It’s anyone’s guess who will bring home the gold.

The extra money will not be limited to the winner, but an extra $500 had been earmarked for the runner up, with another $300 for third. This will make it one of the richest payouts of the year for the Pro Stocks. Will there be any outside attempts at the Propane Plus monies? Be there to find out.

General admission for this event is just $12.00, with kids 12 and under FREE. Print your tickets directly off our website at www.seekonkspeedway.com. Gates open at 3, with the first green flag at 6pm.
