Lauren Cooper Takes Over Driving Duties of Brit Andersen Motorsports’ #70 SK Light Modified for 2010 Season at SMS

The 2010 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season brings very exciting news for SK Light Modified driver Lauren Cooper. Lauren has accepted an invitation to drive the #70 Brit Andersen Motorsports SK Light Modified, a car that has won 13 features in three seasons with Brit Andersen at the wheel, and the car is always at the top of the speed charts.

Lauren knows that she will have big shoes to fill, but she also feels very confident that she will be behind the wheel of a race car that can win each and every week, a feeling that she has yet to experience since moving from karting into full size cars. Lauren has been a rookie for the last three years, racing in a new division and a different style race car each season. Her crew was also comprised of rookies, which led to ill handling cars and mechanical issues. The 2010 season will be the first season that Lauren will be running a full schedule and she has set some goals for herself and her new team. Lauren intends to win a few races this year, contend for a track championship, and win the Most Popular Driver Award.

Lauren and her new team will be hitting the track early this year getting an extra practice in on April 9th and then the open practice on April 17th. That will lead into the opening weekend of the 39th annual Tech Net Spring Sizzler Weekend scheduled for April 23-25.
