10 Year Old Nicholas Sherman Named Grand Marshal for the Whelen Modified Tour New England 100

Loudon, NH — Every young race fan knows what the four most famous words in motorsports are. This year, 10 year old Nicholas Sherman will have his chance to say “gentlemen start your engines” during “D-Day” festivities at the New England 100 on Saturday, June 26.

Young Nicholas, who recently finished the third grade, won his chance to be the Grand Marshal at this year’s “Fantasy Drive,” and could not be more excited.

“He is so excited he shows the certificate he got to all of his friends and teachers,” said Chris Sherman, Nicholas’s dad. “He talks about how he hopes it isn’t too hot, the poor little guy melted in the stands last year.”

Come see Nicholas give the command for the Whelen Modified race and all of the action packed events at “The Magic Mile” on Saturday, including Indy racing’s most popular driver Danica Patrick back behind the wheel of a NASCAR Nationwide Series car for the New England 200.

Great seats are still available for “D-Day,” tickets start at just $25 for adults, children ages 12 to 16 are $5, and children ages 11 and under are free. For more information, please visit us online at www.nhms.com or call our Ticket Hotline at (603) 783-4931.
