QUALIFYING: Santos Rolls At Bristol

Brown, 14th, fastest among Whelen Southern Modified

Bristol, TN — Bobby Santos captured his second straight Coors Light Pole Award Wednesday in qualifying for the UNOH Perfect Storm 150 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

It was Santos’ third pole of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season and seventh of his career.

Santos posted a lap of 15.035 seconds (127.622 mph) around the .533-mile high-banked oval. He will be joined on the front row by Erick Rudolph, who had a lap of 15.037 (127.605). James Civali was third at 15.065 (127.368). NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Ryan Newman and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour points leader Ron Silk rounded out the top five.

Mike Stefanik was sixth, followed by Todd Szegedy, Doug Coby, Matt Hirschman and Eric Goodale.

Tim Brown was 14th overall and the top NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour qualifier in the annual race between NASCAR’s two Modified tours.

The Perfect Storm 150 will air live on SPEED beginning at 6 p.m. ET.
