Weather cancels Speedbowl’s July 18 Wild ‘n Wacky race program
Waterford, CT — Inclement weather and the threat of severe storms forced Waterford Speedbowl to postpone its scheduled Wild ‘n Wacky Wednesday race program for July 18.
The Legend Cars were scheduled for an extra-distance 30-lap feature race, however that event will be rescheduled to Wednesday, July 25. That event will join twin 20-lap features for the Bandolero division plus 20-lap races for the X-Cars and Super X-Cars, in addition to the weekly Wacky Race.
The Speedbowl returns to action on Friday evening with its popular “Sho & Go at the ‘Bowl” with spectator drags and car cruise, highlighted by free grandstands admission for spectators of all ages. On Saturday evening, NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing returns at the shoreline oval
with six divisions of racing. The SK Modifieds®, SK Light Modifieds, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks will be joined by the Saturday series for the Legend Cars and X-Car divisions.
