Hudson Valley Historic Racing Association Presents 2nd Annual Auto Racing History Day on June 9th

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — On Sunday June 9, the Hudson Valley Historic Racing Association in conjunction with the Dutchess County Sports Museum presents their 2nd annual Auto Racing History Day and race car show. It all takes place on the museum grounds located on Wheeler Hill Road in Wappingers Falls, NY.

The event runs from 9AM to 4PM.

Presented throughout the day will be forums featuring slideshows highlighting the racing history of Dutchess County with an emphasis on Rhinebeck & Arlington Speedways, along with the Dover Dragway.

Also on the schedule is a display of vintage race cars.

As part of the celebration, twenty-two drivers, car owners and promoters will be inducted into the Hudson Valley Historic Racing Association Hall of Fame. Some of the personalities slated for induction are drivers Billy Boo, Rich Ricci Sr., Dick Hansen, Jim Reed, and Ron VanEtten. Car owner Joey Lawrence and promoter Ed Ryan are also among the list of this year’s inductees.
