Granite State Pro Stocks Ready to Invade Monadnock Speedway for the David’s House 106

WINCHESTER, NH — When the Granite State Pro Stocks kicked off their inaugural season in 2012, it was at the high banks of Monadnock Speedway that hosted the first ever event, the David’s House 106. On Saturday, May 25, Monadnock will hose the second annual David’s House 106.

With two events completed, Mike O’Sullivan leads the charge into the Winchester, NH speed plant. In the two events contested, the Springfield, MA native is coming off second and third place finishes, and comes in as the defending winner of the David’s House 106.

In the nine events in the series history, there has not yet been a repeat winner. While O’Sullivan looks to be a heavy favorite, Barry Gray comes back to Monadnock as the most recent winner on the ¼ mile oval, winning the Vampire 100 in October, 2012, and is looking to go back to back there. Returning to Pro Stock action will be former champion Fran “JR” Colson, who finished second in that October event. Mike Parks returns to the track he had so much success at in the past, and is looking for his first series win, and comes into this event second in the championship chase.

Other favorites to become first time GSPSS winners include Louie Mechalidas, who is the only driver to lead both events this season. He is also coming off a second place finish at Canaan Fair Speedway in the most recent event. Matt Frahm has been plagues with mechanical gremlins, but has vowed to have put those behind him going into the David’s House 106. Jake Vanada led much of the Vampire 100 before getting involved in a late race incident, and will be looking for the success he left behind in October.

Just a handful of laps are still available to purchase in support of this event. Proceeds from this race will be donated to David’s House. The David’s House 106 is held to help benefit David’s House in Lebanon, NH. David’s House is a home-away-from-home for families who have children (newborn up to age 18) who are receiving care at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Since the doors of David’s House opened on January 20th, 1986, over 12,000 families have called David’s House their home-away-from-home.
