Bear Ridge Speedway Falls Victim to Rain for 3rd Time This Season

Fireworks, USAC Dirt Midgets, Modified Madness up next

BRADFORD, VT — Persistent rain that started just as the cars were rolling onto the track for Hot Laps forced the cancellation of the Wells River Savings Bank Night stock car racing program at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, VT on Saturday.

Up next is Modified Madness night, brought to you by Bond Auto Parts with over 35 locations in the Northeast. Modified Madness is an event run in three segments, with the length of the segments determined by the amount of lap money collected by the competitors. In past years enough money has been collected to nearly double the regular purse.

Also on the card are the USAC Dirt Midgets and the annual Independence Day Fireworks program, which is one of the largest in the area. All the regular 99Rock Weekly Racing Series Divisions will be in competition as well. Regular divisions include the Bond Auto Parts DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes, Laquerre’s Sports Limited Late Models, Weglarz Property Service Fast Fours, and KDD NAPA Auto Parts Ridge Runner Hornets.

Admission for the Bond Auto Parts event will be $10 for adults (age 18-61), $8 for teens (12-17) and seniors (62+), and $2 for children; Visa and MasterCard are accepted, and ticket stubs from the Wells Rivers Savings Bank event will be honored. Racing begins at the famous “6:00-ish” start time.

Bear Ridge Speedway is located on Kidder Road in Bradford, VT, just off Exit 16 on Interstate 91. For more information, call (802) 222-4052 or visit www.bearridgespeedway.com.
