Bowyer Will Not Appear At FanFest
Statement from New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials:
With the recent developments regarding Michael Waltrip Racing, Clint Bowyer will not appear at tonight’s WOKQ FanFest.
Bowyer, who is in his second season driving the No. 15 5-hour Energy Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing, was scheduled to take part in a Q&A session with fans and emcees Jose Castillo and Mark Ericson on the FanFest stage at 7 p.m.
Chase competitor Joey Logano will still attend FanFest as planned. Logano, who drives the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford for Penske Racing, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
FanFest is a free event that kicks off NASCAR weekend at NHMS. The event is hosted by WOKQ and features entertainment along with on-stage Q&As. It is located in the S2 Display Lot just outside the infield tunnel and begins at 5:30 p.m.
