Clouds Will Part, Capacity Crowds Will Come

LOUDON, NH — New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials are expecting a capacity crowd for Sunday’s SYLVANIA 300, the second race in NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.

A limited number of Laconia Grandstand seats in Turn 3 are still available, as well as general admission and walk-up tickets. While the weather forecast is calling for an overcast morning, officials are encouraging fans to come to the Magic Mile as planned.

“We feel very confident that the SYLVANIA 300 will take place on-time, as scheduled. We have seven track dryers to help dry the track quickly if it’s necessary,” said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of the speedway. “We welcome our fans to bring their ponchos; whatever makes them the most comfortable. And we will be ready to drop the green flag for the second race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.”
