Seekonk Speedway Releases 2013 DAV Fall Classic Event Schedule
Seekonk Speedway has released the event schedule for their annual season finale, the 2013 DAV Fall Classic on October 4th and 5th.
The event honors the late D. Anthony Venditti. Known as The Godfather, Venditti was the founder of the Route 6 facility in 1946. He won the RPM Auto Racing Promoter of the Year award in 1978. Since his passing in 1991, his family has continued the racing tradition, making Seekonk the longest continually family operated track in the United States. He has been inducted into two Halls of Fame, the New England Auto Racers (1999) and an inaugural inductee for the Seekonk Speedway Wall of Fame.
