Justin Bonsignore Joins Championship Team for 2014 VMRS Season

As the 2014 Valenti Modified Racing Series season fast approaches, the championship chase has already been ignited with today’s announcement that one of the top young modified drivers in the country, Justin Bonsignore of West Islip, New York will compete full-time in 2014 Valenti Modified Racing Series season in the famed Art Barry #21 machine.

Justin Bonsignore, also a full-time competitor on NASCAR’s Whelen Modified Tour, will contend for his first VMRS championship with the championship winning team from 2012. He will look to match what defending champion, Rowan Pennink, was able to do in 2013 by competing in both tours and doing so with great success. Justin has made 2 career starts previously with the Valenti Modified Racing Series, including leading laps at Thompson Speedway in 2012.

The famed Art Barry racing machine has had tremendous success in every racing venture that they’ve competed in and look to continue that in 2014. Last season saw the #21 car, on a limited schedule while still being contenders for the win in each of the events they entered. In addition to the Barry team’s 2012 Valenti Modified Racing Series championship, with driver Jon McKennedy, the team has also had much success over the years with Ken Barry behind the wheel and will undoubtedly be threat to win immediately with the addition of Bonsignore behind the wheel.

The combination of Justin Bonsignore’s proven talent, matched with the experience of one the most legendary modified race teams in history, the 2014 Valenti Modified Racing Series championship chase will be a must-watch throughout the 2014 season.

The 2014 Valenti Modified Racing Series season blasts off on March 29th-30th at the Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Connecticut.
