BD Motorsports Media LLC Gears Up For Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. Motorsports 2014 Jan. 10-12, 2014

BOYERTOWN, PA – The unofficial kickoff to the 2014 racing season takes place Friday-Sunday Jan. 10-12 when Len Sammons Motorsports Productions presents the Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. Motorsports 2014 Race Car & Trade Show.

The three-day exposition and race car show, held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa., features 225,000 square feet of “nothing but racing” and BD Motorsports Media LLC will again occupy an expansive display at the mid-winter motorsports happening. The ’14 edition marks the fourth straight appearance by the Boyertown, Pa.-based special-events promotion company at Motorsports.

Anchoring more than 600 square feet in booths 216-218 and 316-318, the ’14 BD Motorsports Media area will feature a pair of top-performing drivers from the ’13 season. Sheffield, Mass., star Andy Bachetti – a winner of 16 championships and 138 features in his career – will display his eye-catching No. 34 Modified. Bachetti was a top-five finisher in both BD Motorsports Media-promoted events at Accord (N.Y.) Speedway last season: placing third in the August ‘Battle of the Bullring’ and fifth at the season-closing November ‘Gobbler’ finale.

The driver who won the Accord ‘Gobbler’ and earned $7,732.11 for his efforts – young Anthony Perrego – will also showcase a car in the BD Motorsports Media area: his family owned No. 18 small-block. Perrego, 19, of Montgomery, N.Y., graduated from the Sportsman division last August and vaulted to Modified stardom. He repelled superstar Stewart Friesen in the final laps to post his first-ever Modified triumph at the ‘Gobbler’ event and performed well in other high-profile events including a second-place finish in the October “Working Man’s Race” Short Track SuperNationals.

On Saturday (Jan. 11), an autograph is planned for 1 p.m. in the BD Motorsports Media booth to include Bachetti, Perrego, three-time Mr. DIRTcar Modified champion Matt Sheppard, Pennsylvania 358-Modified standout Doug Manmiller and Bridgeport (N.J.) Speedway 2013 big-block Modified champion and BD Motorsports Media Penn Can (Pa.) Speedway ‘Clash at the Can’ winner Ryan Watt. A complimentary color poster will be available to be signed.

Show attendees visiting the BD Motorsports Media booth can pick up the 2014 color schedule card outlining each of the planned promotions for the upcoming season and the inaugural Short Track Super Series Fueled By VP. A description of the Short Track Super Series season, a points-fund and other racer documents will be on hand. Fans, meanwhile, will be treated to a number of giveaway promotional items.

Competitors can obtain rules, registration information and a passing-point grid for the inaugural ‘Hard Clay Open’ to be run at Orange County (N.Y.) Fair Speedway on Sunday, March 23. The 50-lap Modified event offers an outstanding $30,000 base purse plus bonuses and contingency awards. It will mark the first-ever sail panel event at Orange County and also a first-time use of a passing points qualifying system.

Information will be also available on the blockbuster Friesen-Deyo Promotions Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. ‘Dirty Jersey 2’ at New Egypt (N.J.) Speedway on Tuesday, June 17 (rain date: June 18) promoted by Stewart Friesen and Brett Deyo. This year’s edition is headlined by the Super DIRTcar Series big-block Modifieds in a 60-lap event paying $6,000 to win and $400 to start. New for ’14 is the ‘Turnpike 25’ for 360 Sprint Cars paying $3,000 to the winner and $250 to start. The big-block Modified/Sprint Car doubleheader is a race fan’s dream!

Hot off the presses from Bob Hilbert Sportswear, brand-new 2014 BD Motorsports Media ‘No BS. No Politics. Real Racing.’ apparel will be available featuring the Short Track Super Series Fueled By VP and all of the BD events (and their logos) to be presented in ’14. Tee-shirts ($20), long-sleeve ($22) and hoodies ($25) will be on sale. Sizes 3XL and up should add $3.

Those wishing to register for the 29th annual Berks-Schuylkill Oil-Heat Association Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show at the Fairgrounds Square Mall of Reading, Pa., Feb. 23-March 2 will be able to do so. There will be entry blanks on hand at the show.
