PRACTICE: Brunnhoelzl Fast at South Boston

Veteran Looking For Second Win At Historic Track

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – George Brunnhoelzl III must like South Boston Speedway.

The four-time NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour champion has consistently been in the top two or three in practice every time the tour has visited the .4-mile track in southeastern Virginia and Saturday afternoon was no different.

After rain showers delayed the start of practice by almost two hours, Brunnhoelzl led the way during the 45-minute session for the South Boston 150 with a fast time of 14.948 seconds (96.334 mph).

Burt Myers, who enters this event on a two-race winning streak, followed closely at 14.998 seconds (96.013 mph) with Danny Bohn (15.051/95.675), Andy Seuss (15.057/95.637) and J.R. Bertuccio (15.064/95.592) the top rest of the top five.

Kyle Ebersole, Brian Loftin, Daniel Speeney, Joe Ryan Osborne and Spencer Davis finished out the top 10.

Qualifying for the Coors Light Pole will be at 5:30 p.m. with the South Boston 150 slated to begin at approximately 8 p.m.
