QUALIFYING: Twice as Nice for Bohn

Wins Second Consecutive Award At South Boston

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – Danny Bohn likes to qualify at South Boston.

For the second consecutive race at the .4-mile track, Bohn won the Coors Light Pole Award in NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified qualifying on Saturday for the South Boston 150.

The 25-year-old out of Freehold, N.J., edged George Brunnhoelzl III, who was fastest overall in practice by .014 seconds, to win his fourth career pole and third this season with a fast lap time of 14.899 seconds (96.651 mph).

Brunnhoelzl followed closely in second at 14.913 seconds (96.560 mph) with Burt Myers third (14.920/ 96.515). Andy Seuss (14.974/96.167) and Kyle Ebersole (15.018/95.885) completed the top five.

The remainder of the top 10 was made up of rookie Spencer Davis, Brian Loftin, Joe Ryan Osborne, Daniel Speeney, and J.R. Bertuccio.

The South Boston 150 is set to take the green flag at approximately 8 p.m. ET after the completion of the first of twin 75-lap races for the local Late Models.
