Star Provides 2015 Updates

Star Speedway has posted a number of updates on Facebook pertaining to next year’s schedule.

Notably the historic 1/4 mile oval in Epping, NH will not host the SBM 125. The fourth annual event was part of the Tri-Track Open Modified Series with Lee USA and Seekonk last year. Jon McKennedy won the race and the overall championship.

Open practice will be April 25 from 12 to 5PM. Opening Day on May 2 with the 350 Supermodifieds, Allen’s Outlaws, Woody’s Strictlys, Roadrunners, and 4 and 8 Cylinder Enduros.

The Pro All Stars Series will visit on May 9, with a May 8 practice date. The Granite State Pro Stock Series will return for two races on June 27 and the 50th Star Classic weekend.

The Vintage Outlaws Modified Tour will have four races on May 30, July 18, Aug 15 and October 3. Seekonk Late Model driver Bill Bernard of Holliston, MA has obtained a full-time ride. Bernard won at Lee USA October 11 in the former George Savary No. 21 Vega wagon. He will focus on the vintage circuit with a limited schedule at Seekonk next season.

The New England Truck Series will have two races July 11 and August 1.

Star is “not planning an event” for the upstart Northeast Street Stock Tour.

Star will participate in the Northeast Motorsports Expo and the Racin’ Preview trade shows this offseason. “We would like to have as many cars as possible for these shows and at least one per division.” Scott McAdoo and American Race Tire will have a “Buy 1 Get 1 Free”for teams helping the speedway.

Promoter Bob Webber Jr. announced the return of the 350 Supermodifieds at Star Speedway at the annual Hudson-Star banquet November 8.

“At Hudson Speedway the schedule’s going to be about the same,” Webber said. “We’re going to bring in the Midgets this year as well back over there. Star once again is going to have all the same things, but I guess the biggest thing that everybody in this room probably knows the biggest secret that isn’t a secret is the 350 Supers are coming home in 2015. They’re going to be the headline division each and every Saturday night.”
