Davis, Rocco on Front Row for 7th Bond Auto ACT Invitational

Loudon, NH – Todd Davis of Claremont, NH and Jeff Rocco of Wallingford, CT will start on the front row for today’s 7th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational. The event features 43 American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model drivers from the Northeast United States and eastern Canada.

Davis is a long-time ACT Tour competitor making his fourth Invitational start, while multi-time Thompson Speedway Late Model winner Rocco is making his first appearance in the Invitational. Fellow first-timer Walt Hammond Jr. of Orange, NH and Newport, NH’s Kyle Welch make up the second row followed by Ryan Vanasse and Tom Carey Jr.

2012 Invitational winner Ray Parent of Tiverton, RI will lead former event winners as he comes from the 14th starting spot. 2010 winner Joey Polewarczyk Jr. starts 16th. Three-time winner Eddie MacDonald and defending Champion Wayne Helliwell Jr. start 20th and 21st.

St-Albert, QC’s Alex Labbe was the fastest in the morning practice session with a lap of 30.879 seconds and will start 19th in the Invitational. Nick Sweet was second-fast, followed by MacDonald, Jimmy Hebert, and Polewarczyk.

Two drivers encountered problems during practice. Scott MacMichael’s car shut down early in the session, while Jonathan Bouvrette developed overheating issues. Both are working repairing their cars for the Invitational.

The 7th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational is set to roll this afternoon at 5:00 pm following the completion of the Whelen Modified Tour event.
