Cole Williams to Join Venturini Motorsports for Select 2016 races
(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – December 12, 2015) – Venturini Motorsports (VMS) announced today the addition of late model champion Cole Williams to their ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driver development program for selected races in 2016.
The announcement, coming from the Performance Racing Industry trade show in downtown Indianapolis early Saturday morning, is the first team driver announcement for the upcoming season by VMS.
Williams, a 19-year old Sellersburg, Indiana native, is a top Pro Late Model driver competing in a variety of series including the JEGS/CRA All-Star Series, NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and the Big Machine Records Pro-Late Model Series at the Nashville Fairgrounds where he won the 2014 track championship.
Currently a sophomore at Indiana University Southeast, Williams is scheduled to compete with VMS/ARCA in selected 2016 events, starting at Nashville Fairgrounds (April 9).
“It’s kind of an overwhelming deal, but I’m excited to move up and add some ARCA races to my full slate of late model races next season. It’s going to be a fun ride,” said Williams.

Since 2007, Williams has won nearly 40 percent of all races entered. Amassing an impressive stat sheet over his young career Williams put his name on the map in 2013 with multiple championships and rookie of the year (ROY) honors which included the NASCAR Whelen All-American Missouri State Champion/ROY and the Lebanon I-44 Track Championship and ROY Honors. That same year Williams was named SPEED51’s (dot com) most popular late model driver.
This past season Cole Williams was one of seven 2015 drivers (finalists) selected to take part in the inaugural Kulwicki Driver Development Program’s (KDDP) “Kulwicki Cup”. The KDDP was established earlier this year by the family of late NASCAR Champion Alan Kulwicki. The program’s mission is to help worthy drivers along in their careers, while simultaneously keeping Alan’s memory and legacy alive. Williams finished fourth overall behind champion Ty Majeski.
