Claremont: Cody Lafont Memorial Twin 25’s – July 21

7/18/2017 — This Friday, July 21, the T-Bird Mini Mart Wildcats will run their extra distance event, the Cody Lafont Memorial Twin 25’s as the headline event of Newport Chevrolet Buick GMC Night. Wishing to create an event in remembrance of their son, Cody Lafont, the Lafont family felt a race bearing his name at the place he treasured most was the best way to do that with plans to make this an annual event.

The race will be divided into two 25-lap segments. The best average overall finisher of the two-segment events will be declared the event winner and will pocket a minimum of $ 500 for their efforts. Each segment winner will also receive a $ 75 bonus as part of the total purse.
