Seavey and McDougal Go Westward with Reinbold/underwood

San Tan Valley, Arizona………Two of USAC’s youngest sensations, Logan Seavey and Jason McDougal, have teamed up with Reinbold/Underwood Motorsports for this weekend’s 51st running of the “Western World Championships” at Arizona Speedway on November 2-3.

Reinbold/Underwood was successful on the opening night of “Western World” in 2017 when Thomas Meseraull drove to victory in the 30-lap USAC AMSOIL National & CRA Sprint Car feature with a last-lap pass of Brady Bacon.

This year, the team has partnered with Seavey and McDougal as part of a two-car effort. Seavey, of Sutter, Calif., has been a standout on the USAC P1 Insurance National Midget trail this year, leading both the championship standings and the Rookie of the Year points on the strength of two victories. He’s also been solid in just a handful of USAC National Sprint Car appearances in 2018 with a pair of third-place runs at Bloomington (Ind.) Speedway and Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. serving as his best results in eight starts.

Seavey has made two starts for Reinbold/Underwood this year in USAC/CRA action, both in September at Arizona. One night, he took fast qualifying honors, then followed it up with a second-place finish the following night at Arizona.

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma’s McDougal has gotten off to a hot start in his first 14 career USAC National Sprint Car starts, all coming since the beginning of July where he made a 22nd to 3rd charge at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind. McDougal won in just his eighth series start on Labor Day weekend in Pevely, Mo. at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, one of his eight top-ten and four top-five finishes this season.

McDougal will also join the Reinbold/Underwood team when the series heads to California’s Perris Auto Speedway for the 23rd Budweiser “Oval Nationals” presented by All Coast Construction on Nov. 8-9-10.

The 51st “Western World Championships” from Arizona Speedway in San Tan Valley, Ariz. on November 2-3 will feature the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship with the USAC/CRA Sprint Cars as well as the USAC Southwest Sprint Cars. Pits open at 2pm, front gates at 3pm, with the drivers meeting taking place at 4:30pm and cars hitting the track for hot laps at 5:25pm. All times are local.

The 23rd Budweiser “Oval Nationals” California’s Perris Auto Speedway on November 8-9-10 features three-straight nights of USAC AMSOIL National & CRA Sprint Cars, concluding with a $25,000-to-win prize on the final night.

All five remaining races will all be streamed live on http://www.SpeedShiftTV.com/ and live audio will be on the USAC app.
