Inaugural Little DCRP Event this Sunday

DODGE CITY, Kan. (April 30, 2019) – A new chapter at Dodge City Raceway Park opens up this Sunday with the inaugural event atop the newly-constructed 1/7-mile “Little DCRP” clay oval.

The card that gets underway at 4:00 p.m. features a full slate of Micro Sprint Cars and Karts. Pit gates open at 1:00 p.m. with hot laps beginning at approximately 3:30 p.m.

General admission to the grandstands is just $10 with children 11 and under admitted free. Pit passes are $20.

Racers from throughout will vie to become first-time winners atop the Little DCRP clay oval in Micro Sprint divisions including Winged “A” Class, Non-Wing “A” Class, Restricted “A” Class and Junior Sprints along with Go Karts (Junior and Adult) and 500-cc Outlaw Cage Karts.

The Little DCRP proved racy with cars and karts first turning laps during a March 31 practice.

Sunday’s card marks the first of eight scheduled Sunday events atop the Little DCRP clay oval.

In total, the 2019 season atop the 3/8-mile Dodge City Raceway Park clay oval is slated for 18 nights of action along with another eight Sunday cards atop the newly-constructed 1/7-mile Little DCRP clay oval.
