Dubeau Breaks Through with Claude Leclerc 150 Win

Vallée-Jct., QC – Plainfield, NH’s Rich Dubeau earned his first career American-Canadian Tour (ACT) win on Saturday, June 1 in the Claude Leclerc 150 at Vallée-Jct., QC’s Autodrome Chaudiere. Dubeau took the lead for the first time on lap 82 and dominated the second half a rough-and-tumble event to capture the Summer Kickoff Series opener and the $5,000 top prize.

St-Edourard, QC’s Dany Trepanier chased Dubeau to the line in second. Colchester, VT’s Scott Payea, Williamstown, VT’s Jimmy Hebert, and Blainville, QC’s Jonathan Bouvrette all rebounded from early problems to finish third through fifth. ACT will have more on this event shortly.

The ACT Late Model Tour returns to action on Saturday, June 15 for the Thompson 75 at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway. The $5,000-to-win second round of the Summer Kickoff Series is part of a doubleheader with the K&N Pro Series East. Post time is 4:00 pm.
