Salina Speedway Rounds Out 2019 Speedweek for Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series National Tour

SALINA, Kan. (June 7, 2019) Looking to end out the 2019 ASCS Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek on a dry note, the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network heads for Salina Speedway in Salina, Kan. on Saturday, June 8.

Five previous visits to the Kansas oval with just as many winners, the list of winners has been dominated by the Swindell lineup with Kevin topping the inaugural trip on August 16, 2012. Jeff Swindell did it on May 30, 2014, with Sammy Swindell getting his win on June 16, 2018. Between those wins, Seth Bergman topped action on May 31, 2013, with Aaron Reutzel sporting a checkered flag on June 19, 2015.
Going into the Saturday affair, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. has retaken the lead in the 2019 Driver Standings by 44 points over Blake Hahn. Making consistent runs, John Carney II has moved to third, trailing the top of the points by 64 markers. Matt Covington and Scott Bogucki make up the top five in tour standings. A rough go in his last two outings, Roger Crockett has slipped to sixth with Harli White making up ground to seventh. Jamie Ball in eighth has Jordon Mallett gaining ground with Robbie Price tenth.

Co-Sanctioned with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region, the series, Sean McClelland leads over Seth Bergman, Blake Hahn, Wayne Johnson, and Fred Mattox.
Saturday, June 8 opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. The night’s card also includes Mod-Lites and Kansas Antique Racers. Admission is $20 for adults with kids 12 and under free with a paid adult. Salina Speedway is located at 2841 S. Burma Rd. is Salina, Kan.
