USAC Sprint Cars Headline Saturday’s Howl-O-Ween Bash at Central Arizona Speedway

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (October 24, 2019) – Central Arizona Speedway celebrates the season with Saturday night’s Howl-O-Ween Bash atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in Casa Grande.

Headlining the night will be the USAC Southwest Sprint Cars with IMCA Modifieds, Mod Lites and Power 600 Micro in action as well with the green flag flying at 7:00 p.m.  A Friday night practice from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. will precede the event.

Saturday’s tilt marks the first USAC Sprint Car outing at Central Arizona Speedway since Stevie Sussex beat Brody Roa and Charles Davis, Jr., to the line in May after C.J. Leary topped the series season opener in March.

Buena Park, California’s Roa leads the way into the weekend atop the USAC Southwest Sprint Car point charts and seeks his first Central Arizona Speedway win of the year after a third-place finish in the season opener and then a runner-up finish last time out.

Roa’s lead is a slim one though at just nine points over multiple-time USAC Southwest champion R.J. Johnson with Sussex, Davis, Jr., Mike Martin among the other series leading contenders.

In the IMCA Modified ranks, Kelsie Foley sits atop the track points charts by just 14 markers over Tyler Meci, who has topped the most recent pair of events at Central Arizona Speedway.

Pit gates open at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday with the grandstand gates open at 5:00 p.m.  General admission for adults is just $20 with children 11 and under admitted free.  Pit passes are $35 for adults and $20 for children 7-11 years of age.
