ASCS Sprint Cars Headline Saturday’s Night of Champions at Central Arizona Speedway

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (November 7, 2019) – Winged Sprint Cars will take to Central Arizona Speedway’s 3/8-mile clay oval for the final time in 2019 during Saturday’s “Night of Champions” tilt.

The ASCS Southwest Region will drop in on CAS for the third and final time of the season with the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Bombers and Mod Lites in action as well.

Saturday’s racing action goes green at 7:00 p.m.

In the previous pair of ASCS Southwest Region events at Central Arizona Speedway, Las Cruces’ Rick Ziehl raced to the checkered flag on both occasions.  The multi-time series champion will try to make it a perfect season at Casa Grande on Saturday.

While Ziehl has been perfect at Central Arizona Speedway, it is Phoenix shoe Colton Hardy that is in command of the ASCS Southwest Region points race with a 56-point advantage over New Mexico’s Jesse Baker and Mesa’s J.T. Imperial just another seven points back in third.  Other top series contenders include El Mirage’s Eric Wilkins, a June podium finisher at CAS, and Tempe’s Alex Pettas.

Zach Madrid put a stop to Tyler Mecl’s two-race winning streak in the IMCA Modifieds the last time out while Bo Partain won the most recent IMCA Sport Modified feature.

Leading the way in the CAS point chases are Kelsie Foley in IMCA Modifieds, Mark Harrison in IMCA Sport Modifieds, Donald Comstock in Pure Stocks and Zack Tate in the Bombers.

Pit gates open at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday with the grandstand gates open at 5:00 p.m.  General admission for adults is just $15 with children 11 and under admitted free.  Seniors and Military personnel are admitted for just $12.  Pit passes are $35 for adults and $20 for children 7-11 years of age.
