Car Wars Begin Monday April 20th

Seekonk Speedway is pleased to announce a new bracket-style, interactive, social media game for race fans of the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series. Car Wars will begin next week as the COVID-19 pandemic has delayed the start of the racing season.

Car Wars pins the top eight drivers in the 2019 standings from each division against each other in a battle to find out who has the best paint scheme from each division, and the best scheme from NASCAR Saturday! Fans will be able to vote on Facebook in polls that will be setup for each round. In round one, drivers will be grouped with the points champion competing against eighth-place, while third will battle sixth, fourth will battle fifth, and second will battle seventh. Each Battle will only last one day do check Facebook overnight at 7 pm for the newest round.

The bracket-style game is similar to March Madness and the National Basketball championship bracket. Drivers that win round one will enter the Sweet 16, before the Big Eight and Final Four. As part of the Final Four, the winner from each respective NASCAR Saturday division will square-off with other division winners to determine the champion. Race fans are encouraged to vote for the best paint scheme of the two drivers, not for their popularity.

In round one, David Darling battles Mike Brightman, while Ryan Vanasse and Fred Astle square-off. Tom Scully Jr. and Kevin Casper go side-by-side, while Dylan Estrella fights Radical Rick Martin in the Pro Stocks. A full bracket for all divisions is available below.
