ATQMRA Up-to Speed 11/11/2020

Happy Veterans Day to everyone within this email chain who has served.

Congratulations Ryan Tidman, Paul Dodorico, and the entire #55 team on the big win at Bethel this weekend! That was certainly a very unique turn of events and was very cool to see. Well deserved for all involved.

Get those entry forms in!!!!!!!!! Entry form can be downloaded in a direct link on the website or from the previous email I sent that has the form attached. A full schedule is on the website, Facebook, and in the previous email as well. 

An additional tire order will be made for Turkey Derby on November 19th. If you are in need of any sets for Turkey Derby, contact Karen (karensload@yahoo.com). All orders must be placed prior to 11/19. This is your absolute last chance to order tires for the year!!!

Practice is this Saturday the 14th. This is final practice prior to Turkey Derby on the 28th. Pits open at 9:00 AM. Practice is 11AM – 3PM.

Prior to the season beginning, the decision was made to not score points due to the unknowns and complications of the pandemic. To be honest, at one point this spring there was a scary reality we may not even get a season at all.

In order to keep track of handicap, I had to keep track of owner’s points. Naturally, I still scored driver’s points along the way. Again, these points are 100% unofficial and will not be recognized in the record book.

However, based on how things shook out over these last 6 races, Joey Bailey would be the back-to-back ATQMRA Champion with Lenny Boyd winning the Owner’s Title. Congrats!

Under normal circumstances, this weekend at Bethel concluded our regular season. In what was the wildest and most unprecedented season in ATQMRA history, it really did take every single one of us to make this year a success. Thank you for your support of this club.

We have an exciting outlook and have new members looking to join on the horizon as we start thinking about 2021. Let’s finish 2020 with a bang (and finally put this season behind us) at Turkey Derby in a few weeks.
