Two Events Paying $50,000-Plus Highlight 2021 Short Track Super Series Schedule

MILLSBORO, DE – The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco continues to raise the bar for Northeast dirt Modified racing.

In date announcements confirmed on back-to-back days, the STSS has officially scheduled a pair of events paying $50,000-plus to win in the same season. The events will take place in two different states: Fonda Speedway in Fonda, N.Y., and Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa.

After a one-year absence due to New York State COVID-19 regulations, the ‘Fonda 200 Weekend’ is set for Thurs.-Sat. Sept. 16-18, 2021 at Fonda Speedway. This three-day program culminates with the $53,000-to-win STSS Modified event on Saturday night (Sept. 18).

Last season, Port Royal Speedway filled the Fonda void with the ‘Speed Showcase 200 Weekend’ in October headlined by a $53,000-to-win STSS Modified event. After a rousing debut, the ‘Speed Showcase Weekend’ will be back Oct. 14-16, 2021 with $50,000 going to the STSS Modified winner. The additional $3,000 from the winner’s share will be spread through the back half of the field.

“We wanted to get the dates out to our fans and racers so they can plan for two races paying $50,000-plus to win in 2021,” series organizer Brett Deyo said. “This is an exciting time to be part of the Short Track Super Series!”

More details on both events will be available in the coming weeks, in addition to a schedule for the ’21 season.
