Short Track Super Series Set for Central PA Invasion March 20-21 at Selinsgrove & Port Royal

MILLSBORO, DE – The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco heads to the ‘Keystone State’ for a weekend of racing Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21.

The Central Pennsylvania “two-step” will send the STSS Velocita-USA South Region presented by Design for Vision and Sunglass Central into full swing before the calendar flips to April after a kickoff at Del.’s Georgetown Speedway March 12-13.

First up: the STSS Modifieds and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman head to Selinsgrove Speedway for the ‘Icebreaker’ in Selinsgrove, Pa., on Saturday. The event will be the first in STSS history at the famed half-mile speedway and the return of the Modifieds for the first time since 2013 at the Snyder County facility.

Selinsgrove will become the 24th different facility to host the STSS when the green flag drops on March 20th in an exciting kickoff to the speedway’s 75th anniversary.

The STSS Modifieds will go 40 laps for $5,000 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to take the green with a purse totaling more than $25,570. The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman will join the card going 25 laps for a $1,500 winner’s share and $100 to take the green.

On Sunday, the STSS Modifieds travel to neighboring Port Royal Speedway for another 40-lap, $5,000-to-win event in Central Pennsylvania. The event will mark the fourth consecutive year the STSS Modifieds have competed at the Juniata County half-mile ‘Speed Palace.’

The Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Super Late Models join the STSS Modifieds for a $4,000-to-win event in a fan-pleasing Sunday afternoon program.

The ‘Spring Speed Showcase 40’ will be the first of two events for the STSS at Port Royal Speedway, as the second running of the ‘Speed Showcase 200’ will be held paying $50,000 to win in October.

Both events of the weekend will carry STSS South Region points for the Modifieds and the Selinsgrove event will carry STSS Belmont’s Garage South Region points for the Crate 602 Sportsman.

Special awards, bonuses and contingency certificates will be awarded at each event in typical STSS fashion to make the events more lucrative for competitors.
