Lee USA Speedway Dedicates 2021 Season to Norm Wrenn III

Lee, NH – After the untimely and shocking passing of Norm Wrenn III last November, the team of track officials at Lee USA Speedway has re-dedicated its efforts for the upcoming season, which will be run in Norm III’s memory.

In honor of the familiar car number 1m that Norm III carried on his Pro-4 Modified entry throughout his career, the Lee USA Speedway season has been aptly titled 2021m.  In addition, there will be a special three-race series for the Pro-4 Modifieds this season, as well as the Norm III Triple Crown for Lee’s weekly NASCAR divisions.

Many of Norm III’s biggest successes came while racing at Lee, and his parents, track owners Norm and Shirley Wrenn, along with General Manager Joe Bassett and Operations Manager Sarah Lemay have been working hard to make the 2021m season the biggest and best yet to honor his legacy.

The Pro-4 Modifieds are slated to compete on May 15, again on July 23, and then will close out the three-race series as part of Oktoberfest weekend October 1-3, while the Norm III Triple Crown Series is on the calendar for June 11, July 2, and July 23.

The four NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series divisions, the Rodfather Late Model Sportsmen, R&R Race Parts NH Street Stocks, O’Reilly Auto Parts Six Shooters, and MLM Diagnostics Pure Stocks will each compete in all three rounds of the Norm III Triple Crown.

In addition, the Northeast Classic Lites will be joining the June 11 program, the Granite State Pro Stock Series and fireworks have been added to round two on July 2, and both the Northeast Classic Lites and Pro-4 Modifieds will be in action for the series finale, the Norm’s Birthday event on July 23.

The first race of the Pro-4 series on Saturday, May 15 is just part of day one of May Madness weekend, which will also see the NEMA Midgets, NEMA Lites, Granite State Mini Cups, Maine Wicked Good Vintage racers and the season opener for the Rodfather Late Model Sportsmen on the card.

Day two of May Madness will go green on Sunday, May 16 featuring a huge doubleheader event, showcasing the finest PASS Super Late Model and ACT Late Model racers at New Hampshire’s Center of Speed.  Teams from throughout New England and Canada are expected to be on hand for that one.

Two weekends later, the Friday night Weekly Racing Series opener will take to the Lee USA oval on May 28, with double features on tap for the four NASCAR divisions.  From there on, virtually every week will include a special added attraction, stay tuned for more big announcements in the coming weeks.
